20 Favorite Female TV Characters
9. Miranda Bailey
I think Dr. Bailey is one of the unsung heroes of Grey’s Anatomy. When I think back to some of my favorite moments on the show, Bailey was in them.
From the moment they talked about having the “nazi” and she walks in and she’s this short little woman, I fell in love, because she’s little but she’s strong.
She had her baby in the hospital, she went through a divorce and bounced back. She is the quintessential working woman. The dilemma of being a full time mother and having a career. She is tough and yet she has her vulnerable moments, as the girl who was the smartest, but maybe not the hottest and got looked over.
One of my fave scenes ever is with her and Derek in the elevator. He just lost a patient and he is close to losing it and she pulls the emergency break and gives him his moment to cry. Surprisingly their characters don’t interact often, but when they do it’s great.
Also, come on, who else could have dealt with Meridith, Christina, Alex, George and Izzy? NO ONE! LOL. The best scenes are when Bailey puts someone in their place and tells them what they did wrong. It’s always like GO BAILEY GO!
